Irregular bleeding or bleeding during/after sex can sometimes be a symptom of an infection. It’s a good idea to visit your doctor or make an appointment at Teen Clinic for a check-up. Be sure to ask specifically for an STI test if you are having unprotected sex. You can also take that opportunity to speak with your health care provider about preventing STIs and pregnancy if that’s a concern.
