If you are having (or had) unprotected sex you are at risk for pregnancy. Irregular periods can be a sign of pregnancy, so it’s important to walk in to one of our Teen Clinics for a free and confidential pregnancy test, or go to the store and buy one to take at home.
If you are using a hormonal birth control method (like the pill) correctly, consistently, and all of the time, your irregular periods are typical side effects. If you are not sexually active at all, you may be experiencing typical symptoms of puberty and adolescence.
