When it comes to your sexual health there are several things you can do to make sure you are staying safe and healthy!

If you are a young man, here’s what you can do:

Getting Tested for STIs Before you become sexually active, after you become sexually active and when you have a new partner At Teen Clinic or your regular doctor
Self Testicular exams Every month Somewhere that is private, safe and comfortable to you
Talking to your partner about sexual health As often as you can Somewhere that is safe and comfortable for the both of you
Use a reliable prevention method against STIs and/or an unexpected pregnancy When you become sexually active and every time you engage in sexual activity Teen Clinic provides free and confidential prevention methods including condoms!

If you are a young woman, here’s what you can do:

Getting an annual exam Once a year At teen Clinic or at your regular doctor
Getting a pap Smear Yearly after you turn 21 or yearly after you have been sexual active for 3 years. At Teen Clinic or at your regular Doctor
Self Brest exam Once a month Somewhere that is safe and comfortable to you
