Since 1991, Women's Health has provided education and outreach to over 35,000 teens in the Boulder Community. Most of these presentations are within the area school districts and are designed to complement the existing health curricula. The most popular topics for high school presentations are Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI, also known as STD) and Contraception.

STIs and Their Prevention
A variety of STIs and their different symptoms are presented. Current statistics and trends are discussed and the focus of the presentation is on prevention and risk reduction. This presentation is available in a 1-day format.

Teen Pregnancy and Contraception
While abstinence is presented as the most effective option to avoid unintended pregnancy, clear, up-to-date information is given on other contraceptive methods as well. Students have an opportunity to see the actual method, discuss proper use, understand side effects, and ask questions.
